Our Mission
At EPIC Young People, we are dedicated to advancing education and personal development for young individuals. Our holistic approach focuses on building confidence and resilience through structured learning and mentorship.
We believe that sustainable change starts with empowering our young people. Through education, training, and free access to resources, we work with individuals and groups to build capacity and create lasting change. From primary school through to providing vocational training for youth, helping young people write their CV and secure their first job, college or university place, we are committed to helping young people thrive.

EYP - Evolution

In 2025 we became EYP... but in 2017 we started out as EPIC East Ayrshire Pipe Band Academy. We set out with the mission of regenerating piping and drumming in East Ayrshire, but when we started, we realised our job was going to be so much bigger than teaching a musical instrument. To enable our students to take advantage of everything we had to offer, we would have to offer a holistic approach in our work. Over the years we have fed hungry children, provided space for them to spend time in safety and warmth, helped young people who were self-harming and at risk of suicide, offered professional counselling through our partnership with our local community centres, and we have helped so many young people to become more happy and confident individuals, whether they remained with our project long term or not.
